Southampton Pride 2025 returns for a two-day celebration of LGBTQ+ life, love, and community on the weekend of 23–24 August.
Taking place in the heart of the city at Guildhall Square, this free, inclusive event promises vibrant energy, powerful messages of equality, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone. The festival highlights the power of visibility, pride, and unity — offering an unforgettable weekend for all ages.
Pride March:
The #SOProud March begins at 11:00 AM on Saturday, 23 August from Queens Park. The march follows a spirited route along Briton Street, turning onto the High Street and passing through the iconic Bargate for a commemorative photo moment. It continues up Above Bar Street, along Civic Centre Road, and into Guildhall Square through a new entrance on Commercial Road. Stewards and security will be present to ensure everyone’s safety, with marchers expected to arrive at the main festival site around midday.
Festival Experience:
Once inside Guildhall Square, the celebration takes over the city with an afternoon and evening packed with entertainment, community spirit, and celebration. Live music and performances will take place on the main stage, showcasing a wide array of talent and offering something for every taste — from local favourites to nationally recognised names. Throughout the square, visitors can explore a diverse mix of community and charity stalls, offering merchandise, resources, support, and engagement opportunities for those wanting to learn, connect, or give back.
A variety of food and drink vendors will be on-site throughout the day, serving up everything from street food classics to plant-based treats and refreshing drinks. Whether you’re here for the music, the atmosphere, the activism, or all three, there’s something at Southampton Pride to keep you going from start to finish.
Inclusivity & Accessibility:
Southampton Pride is proudly accessible to all. The festival is designed with inclusive facilities in mind, offering step-free access, sign language interpretation on stage, and support for attendees with additional access needs. It’s a space where everyone — regardless of gender identity, sexuality, age, ability, or background — can feel safe, celebrated, and empowered.
Community Involvement:
This event is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers and the wider Southampton community. Whether you’d like to march, perform, host a stall, or lend a hand behind the scenes, there are many ways to get involved. Southampton Pride thrives on local participation, and your presence, however you choose to contribute, makes a meaningful difference.
