Reading Pride 2025 – Love Unites

Saturday, August 30, 2025 King's Meadow, Reading, RG1 8BN Reading Pride 2025 – Love Unites

Join thousands in the heart of Berkshire as Reading Pride celebrates its 22nd year with the powerful theme of Love Unites. On Saturday 30 August 2025, the city transforms into a vibrant hub of colour, community, and celebration — all taking place at King’s Meadow, right beside the River Thames.

This free event is a highlight of the South East Pride calendar, with entertainment and activities for all ages. Whether you’re a member of the LGBTQ+ community, an ally, a first-time attendee or returning with friends and family, you’re invited to stand together in unity, pride, and joy.

Parade Details:
The day kicks off with the Love Unites Parade, bringing the spirit of Pride to Reading’s city centre. Starting in the late morning, the parade marches through town and leads directly into the main festival site at King’s Meadow. Marchers include local groups, businesses, youth and community organisations, and individuals of all identities — creating a spectacular and inclusive procession.

Festival Experience at King’s Meadow:
From 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, King’s Meadow becomes a buzzing festival village with something for everyone. There will be a Main Stage showcasing live entertainment throughout the day, featuring an exciting and diverse line-up of performers including singers, drag acts, dancers, and special guest speakers.

The Pride aLive Stage highlights talented local LGBTQ+ musicians and bands who bring authenticity and rhythm to the community stage, while the Pride Dance Tent keeps the energy high with an electrifying mix of dance tracks and DJ sets.

Club F.O.D’s Community Hub and Stage adds a social twist, offering cabaret, karaoke, comedy, and bingo alongside useful information and support services from local LGBTQ+ organisations.

For families, there’s a dedicated Family Area sponsored by Bayer, featuring drag queen story time, games, kids’ discos, and competitions — making sure little ones can celebrate Pride in a safe and fun environment.

There’s also NHS PrideInU, a pop-up wellbeing hub offering health checks, advice, mini workshops, and support sessions throughout the afternoon.

Accessibility & Inclusion:
Reading Pride is proud to be a fully inclusive and accessible event. The festival includes accessible toilets, BSL interpreters at key performances, and on-site support for those with disabilities. The event is designed to ensure all visitors — regardless of age, ability, or identity — feel welcome, safe, and celebrated.
