The Higgins Bedford
QCC is a space to come together with others to create wonderful pieces of art, share your passion, display your pride and fight for change
The Queer Craftivist Collective is a friendly group of like-minded LGBTQ+ folk and allies. It starts on Saturday 1st October 2022, and fortnightly thereafter, at The Higgins in Bedford. No previous art or crafting experience necessary. We can learn together, to pursue common goals, and express our thoughts and values in creative, proactive ways. Materials and refreshments provided, just bring your enthusiasm.
What is craftivism?
T he act of using craft projects as a form of protest, to help raise awareness and make change through the use of art and creativity
What is our motivation?
Never has there been a more important time this century for LGBTQ+ solidarity, social support, and activism. Being creative expresses who we are, how we feel, and enhances our wellbeing, individually and collectively
We all want things to change, for things to get better. And often it feels difficult to find your voice.
- If there's time for the loud, there's time for the quiet.
- If there's time for the fast, there's a need for the slow.
