Join us at Hoxton Hall for ParaPride's brand new LGBTQ+ History Month event 2024!
ParaPride will be marking LGBTQ+ history by presenting an incredible event in celebration of our powerful LGBTQ+ disabled community. We want every LGBTQ+ disabled person to feel pride in who they are.
A spectacular line-up of talented acts that will entertain you throughout the day. From comedy sensations, drag royalties, acrobatic performances, poetry, burlesque acts, DJ sets and more. We are proud to showcase disability talent and all our performers reflect the community that we serve.
We will host a ‘Dis-section’ panel discussion about empowering intersectional identities, joined by special guest-speakers. ‘Who are we?.. Unfolding the multiple layers of intersectionality’. We will reflect about aspects of our intersectional identities that we feel most proud of but that are also the cause of discrimination. A very relatable topic with an interactive Q&A.
There will be a spacious community networking area available for our guests to engage with local partner organisations, providing a space to socialise, connect, share information and have fun. Two Bars will be available with drinks and snacks for purchase.
ParaPride is committed to creating inclusive, accessible and enjoyable events in safe environments for our intersectional disabled LGBTQ+ community, as well as for our friends and supporters.
BSL interpreters will be provided throughout the event. The ground level is accessible and has step-free access. There will be a Quiet space available in the Arts studio for anyone who needs to take some time-out. Lift access to all levels. Accessible toilets available.
We strongly believe that LGBTQ+ History should be remembered and celebrated all year round and we acknowledge that February opens up great opportunities to learn, educate, raise awareness and give visibility to the marginalised intersectional LGBTQ+ communities.
We look forward to welcoming you to this memorable event.
