Life, Loss and Death: An LGBTQIA+ Community Conversation

Friday, May 9, 2025 Bishopsgate Institute, 230 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 4QH Life, Loss and Death: An LGBTQIA+ Community Conversation

Join us for a heartfelt and honest in-person conversation exploring grief, death, and end-of-life experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. Hosted at the historic Bishopsgate Institute, this gathering is a safe and welcoming space to reflect on how we process loss — as individuals and as a community.

This event will include:

  • A panel of LGBTQIA+ speakers with lived experience sharing personal reflections on loss, bereavement, and navigating death-related conversations.

  • Open and respectful group discussion on cultural attitudes toward death, unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ people around healthcare, chosen family, legacy, and remembrance.

  • Opportunities to ask questions, share experiences (if you wish), and engage in a compassionate, non-judgmental environment.

This is a space for connection, learning, and healing — open to anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community and allies who wish to better understand and support each other through life’s most difficult moments.

Admission is free, but registration is essential as places are limited.
