Camden Schools' LGBTQ+ Reading Group

Wednesday, November 30, 2022 Acland Burghley School, Burghley Road, London NW5 1UJ

You are welcome to join our group, which is intended to further develop and support our understanding of LGBTQ+ topics relevant to children, families and schools.

The group will meet up on a half-termly basis, 16.30-18.00 at Acland Burghley School.

All professionals are welcome to attend provided they have a connection to Camden Schools. For example, teachers, support staff, governors, senior leaders as well as school based clinicians/therapists etc. Whilst the topics and discussions might lean more towards a secondary school population, colleagues from Primary Schools are also welcome to join.

If you sign up for the first session, you will then receive an article for our first meeting. This particular article was selected as it provides an overview of the experiences of gender diverse young people in UK Schools. We will also share with you further details of the venue, including directions and the room.

We intend to agree on future readings as a group and will welcome any suggestions for future readings. The only requirement is that the reading has an LGBTQ+ focus and relates to the secondary school context.

We look forward to you joining us, if you have any further questions please do get in touch
