Birmingham Pride held its first event back in 1997 and has become one of the most important LGBTQIA+ festivals in the UK with the Parade kicking off the weekend to the festival. The Parade leads all participants through the streets of Birmingham to the heart of the LGBTQIA+ village. The Parade will be held on Saturday 27th May 2023 for it's 26th festival.

T he Pride Parade is a march for equality and justice for LGBTQIA+ people around the world, to raise awareness and celebrate LGBTQIA+.

We are inviting the architectural community to join us in being a part of this year's Pride Parade to celebrate LGBTQIA+ achievement, life and love in a ‘safe space’ where the community can be who they want to be without fear or prejudice.

T he BAA are hosting bubbles and brunch at C&W Architects, Floor 20, Alpha Tower, Suffolk Street Queensway from 10.30am on Saturday 27th May and will be joined by Sarah Habershon, Architecture LGBT to discuss similar events and discussions.

W e will then head down to take part in the Parade from Centenary Square (Broad Street) before heading through Paradise Circus, News Street, High Street, Moor Street Queensway, Smallbrook Queensway and on to the village.

  • Unfortunately, there are no storage facilities for large bags or luggage. Please do not bring these to the event.
  • The venue and parade are accessible to wheelchair users. Please confirm any requirements during registration.

  • In order to comply with Pride's organisers and terms and conditions, sign up for every participant is crucial. The BAA will issue all health and safety guidance upon registration.
