Birmingham Pride 2025 returns on the late May Bank Holiday weekend with one of the UK’s biggest and boldest LGBTQ+ celebrations.
Set in the heart of Birmingham’s LGBTQ+ Village, the two-day festival combines protest, party, and pride — bringing together over 75,000 people for an unforgettable celebration of identity, equality, and love.
Pride Parade:
Kicking off the weekend on Saturday 24 May at 12:00 PM, the Birmingham Pride Parade begins in Centenary Square and marches through the city centre toward Hurst Street. The parade is a powerful show of unity, diversity, and support for the LGBTQ+ community, welcoming individuals, allies, businesses, and organisations from across the UK. Expect bold costumes, live performances, floats, and a sea of rainbow flags lining the streets.
Festival Highlights:
Following the parade, the heart of Birmingham’s LGBTQ+ Village will come alive with music, energy, and celebration. The Main Stage will host internationally renowned acts, including the legendary dance-pop artist Cascada, known for anthems like “Evacuate the Dancefloor” and “Everytime We Touch”. Throughout the weekend, additional stages will feature a variety of live entertainment, cabaret performances, and drag showcases.
The Dance Arena will pump with world-class DJs spinning club classics and queer anthems, while the Cabaret Stageoffers a more intimate space for comedy, drag artistry, and high-energy acts. The Street Party throughout Hurst Street and Kent Street transforms the area into a carnival of colour, with market stalls, food vendors, bars, and interactive installations welcoming revellers from day into night.
Community & Accessibility:
Birmingham Pride is more than a party — it’s rooted in activism and community. As always, part of the event’s proceeds support local LGBTQ+ organisations and charities, ensuring the legacy of Pride extends well beyond the weekend. The festival is committed to being inclusive and accessible, with ramps, viewing areas, and support for attendees with access needs.
