Research Associate in Theoretical Cosmology
We invite applications from outstanding candidates for two Research Associate positions in Theoretical Cosmology. This Research Associate position is fixed term for a length of 12 months, with a start date of as soon as possible.
The successful candidates will have expertise in testing cosmological models with observational data. Specifically, they should have an interest in investigating the nature of the observed discrepancies present in the current cosmological data, with a focus on the H0 tension, and in understanding how these discrepancies are related to the theoretical motivation behind the cosmological model. The positions are supported by a grant from the Royal Society, with the Principal Investigator being Dr. Eleonora Di Valentino. The Sheffield Gravitation and Cosmology group consists of 5 academics (Dr Eleonora Di Valentino, Dr Sam Dolan, Dr Steffen Gielen, Prof Carsten van de Bruck, and Prof Elizabeth Winstanley), 2 postdocs and 15 Ph.D. students.
