Regional Partnerships Development Officer (Health and Communities)

Job Description

Are you passionate about the opportunity to play a central role in South Yorkshire’s progress towards a healthier and fairer region?

We have an exciting opportunity in the department of Research, Partnerships and Innovation for a driven and motivated individual to lead the health theme of the University’s Made Together programme, which supports regional organisations to improve the health outcomes of the population.

You will collaborate closely with a range of organisations across the South Yorkshire region, manage these relationships and develop a detailed understanding of their plans and investments around health and wellbeing. The challenge is then to match these plans and investments with university capability, building and maintaining dedicated support for cross-sectoral collaborative projects. This is a unique and important role, bringing the University’s world-leading research, teaching and knowledge into work that directly benefits the people of South Yorkshire.

To undertake this role, you will have a good honours degree or equivalent experience, alongside excellent communication, relationship building and project management skills. You will also have a proven track record of operating strategically across organisations and research fields, whilst supporting the development of ambitious policy and strategy.

We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
