Would you like to join one of the best run pre-sessional English programmes in the UK? We encourage tutors to join us this summer teaching mainly pre-master’s students, in a range of disciplines, while they prepare academic English language and literacy skills needed for study at the University. Our programmes include a week long paid induction which will prepare you to deliver our EAP courses. All our Pre-sessional programmes are accredited by BALEAP and the British Council. .

We are planning to offer face-face (F2F) and online (OL) programmes. The campus posts are based in Sheffield. We are looking for various lengths of contracts depending on student numbers and we expect that to be confirmed later at either interview or offer stage. Dates from 17th June to 6th September. Please indicate your availability, and preference for face-to-face or online posts, in your application statement.

Early application is encouraged as it is anticipated that interviewing will commence from May and will continue until all posts are filled. Full details will be provided to invited candidates.

You will join a supportive team focussed on preparing students for their University studies. The programme is designed to give students practice in the activities they will undertake at University and they are assessed on their performance on the programme. We employ innovative technological approaches to support learning and teaching. To access any online lessons & course content, you will require a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam and microphone, and a reliable broadband internet connection. You will need a suitable space to work for any online teaching components.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. As we need our teachers throughout the programme, holidays are paid at the end of the contract. For teachers from outside the area working on the face to face courses we can offer free self-catering University accommodation.
