We are looking to hire a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Valuation to provide excellent research and teaching at Sheffield University Management School. We are interested in candidates with expertise in the areas of accounting and valuation who can contribute to the School and the wider University in the areas of research, teaching, leadership and professional standing and wider engagement. For this post we are particularly interested in candidates with a track record of working in interdisciplinary teams in areas that complement those at our research centre. Our core interests lie in the areas of auditing, accountability, social and environmental accounting; management accounting and financialization. We have a particular interest in scholars with a background in valuation and assetization or those working at the intersect of urban studies and valuation.
The School has six Subject Groups and this opportunity is located in the Accounting and Financial Management Group which:
● Is home to the highly active research centre: The Centre for Research into Accounting and Finance in Context (CRAFiC). Full details of our current research priorities can be found on the CRAFiC website: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/crafic;
● Delivers a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programmes and modules, mainly relating to Financial and Management Accounting, Sustainability Accounting, Corporate Governance, Tax, Financial Management, Finance and on the Doctoral Programme.
We also welcome applications from candidates with industry experience and/or who have previously taught successfully on MBA programmes.
