When you join as a Lead Engineer in Engine Castings, you'll be joining an energetic team that drives toward JLR's vision to be the benchmark for quality in the luxury sector. Using your developed skills and knowledge, you will coordinate the design, development, testing and introduction of new systems and components/commodities within the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) family.
Using your expertise in engine castings, you will resolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targets and ensure that all appropriate JLR standards are met through-out design maturation.
In this role you will also:
Lead meeting focused on Design Review based on Failure Mode when design is being assessed.
Manage test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
You will deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost, weight and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System. You will own and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverables
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
Experience in delivering engine component projects
Experience working on an ICE component ideally from start to finish
Extensive experience with engine casting components
