IT Compliance Officer

Job Description

Do you have industry experience in IT audit and compliance? If so, HM Land Registry (HMLR) now have an exciting opportunity for an IT Compliance Officer.

In this role you will be responsible for assuring that HMLR remains compliant with international standards, industry best practices, regulation and government policy by delivering effective, consistent IT assurance, audit and compliance across the organisation.

You will provide assurance to the Senior IT Compliance Manager on suitability and effectiveness of quality assurance policies and practices throughout current and developing IT services.

Job description

As an IT Compliance Officer, you will provide specialist assistance and guidance in the creation of policy, process and practices whilst ensuring that appropriate governance processes are maintained through conducting audit and compliance activity.

By undertaking audits, you will drive appropriate corrective and preventative actions; and provide specialist assistance and constructive challenge to people and projects in relation to compliance. You will coordinate work towards international standards within development and operational teams and measure the effectiveness of project deliverables in meeting standards and requirements.

Person specification

To be successful in this role you will industry experience in IT audit and compliance and at least one of:

  • Governance, Risk Management and Policy;
  • IT Service Management

You will have a track record of providing assurance to help enable successful accreditation to international standards. You have excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to understand, interpret and make sense of complex and seemingly contradictory information and have proven communication and influencing skills. Proven experience in working to complete compliance and audit schedules within and IT or digital organisation.
