Job Description

We are seeking a highly collaborative, experienced manager with excellent communications and stakeholder management skills to lead our newly formed Product and Market Research function. Reporting into the Head of Recruitment Development, you will be part of the leadership team for the new Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions Service for the University and will take responsibility for the provision of high-quality market insight activity across a range of student recruitment and marketing activity, alongside further developing our approach to the University’s portfolio development activity.
As Head of Product and Market Research you will be responsible for embedding future processes and plans for the next phase of the Portfolio Review cycle, alongside collaborating with colleagues from Academic Programmes Office and Strategic Planning and Change on further streamlining our Programme Approval processes.
Following the newly designed Student Recruitment and Marketing service at the University of Sheffield, you will be tasked with updating our market research roadmap; developing and delivering market insight activity that enhances our understanding of prospective student preferences and behaviours. You and your team will be responsible for using market research and evidence to promote innovations in student recruitment, marketing and admissions that enable us to meet the strategic priorities of the University, as well as investigate, guide and inform future activity.
