Job Description

Are you an experienced project manager who enjoys working collaboratively? We have an exciting opportunity to support an interdisciplinary team of academic researchers and external stakeholders on the H3 project (Healthy soil, Healthy food, Healthy people): www.h3.ac.uk The H3 project is funded by UKRI’s ‘Transforming UK food systems’ (TUKFS) programme and runs until December 2025.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to support the administration and continued smooth running of this exciting project, liaising both within and beyond the H3 team and across various professional services within the University of Sheffield. This is a varied role which includes financial management, communications, knowledge exchange management (with external partners in business, government and civil society) and research dissemination through various channels (events, social media, film and project website). You will need excellent IT skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and an ability to act with discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy. You will help plan the work programme to ensure that milestones and deliverables are met; manage events (including travel and catering); and maintain/develop a working knowledge of agri-food research to support the project’s activities across the spectrum of environmental, social and health research.

You will also be involved in liaising with the project funders and with other projects in the TUKFS programme.

You will report to the Project Leader, Professor Peter Jackson, who will also be the line manager for this role.
